Nature photography workshop, sea landscapes in the town of Benissa and Calpe, Alicante, taught by Sergio Arias Ramón, specialized in nature photography.
The Benissa and Calpe area is an ideal place to practice coastal photography due to the multitude of beaches and coves with rock formations and especially because of the Rock of Ifach.
Who is it for?
Aimed at both amateurs and people with advanced knowledge who want to learn new techniques and enjoy an ideal environment for coastal photography. The workshop will be taught by a professional photographer specializing in coastal photography who will attend to each student in a personalized way, based on their knowledge.
Students will have several filter holder and filter kits at their disposal.. They will be able to try out graduated filters, which are necessary to solve complicated lighting situations during sunrise or sunset. They will also have access to neutral density filters to try out long exposure daytime photography (LED).
The workshop takes place on the beaches of the municipalities of Benissa and Calpe, large areas where students can choose their location without problems and full of rocks with which to make very interesting compositions.
Recommended material
The areas we will be moving through are rocky beaches, so it is recommended bring comfortable shoes to be able to move around with ease. If you have a wader, it is a good idea to bring one (but it is not essential). Bring comfortable, light clothing and something warm for the last and first hours of the day. It is also recommended to bring a headlamp so you can move around without risk of falling.
The necessary photographic material consists of a camera with manual controls and BULB mode. It is also necessary tripod and shutter releaseAs for lenses, a wide-angle lens is a very good option, although telephoto lenses are also useful for this type of photography. If you have filters, it is a good idea to bring them.
